Entering Interactive Environments is a project of the Incomplete Dislocations Collective, (ID) a group of Halifax new media artists. For this project ID is working in association with Dans l'champ, a Montréal new media art collective. Artists from Dans l'champ will join members of ID in presenting extended in-depth workshops and presentations aimed at increasing knowledge of production practices for sensor-driven art.

This project is an opportunity for Halifax artists to gain a new understanding of relationships between thedigital, architectural, environmental and representational properties of interactive art work in an experimental lab setting.

Our aim isto bring interactivity out of the computer and in to the room engaging the visitor in a sensory experience.

Entering Interactive Environments consists of artist presentations, panel discussions and in-depth training sessions for local digital media artists (video and audio & web) to expand their knowledge of making art that is triggered by sensors or that works in an interactive context.

No experience necessary!
