Entering Interactive Environments is a project of the Incomplete
Dislocations Collective, (ID) a group of Halifax new media artists. For this project ID is working in association with Dans l'champ, a Montréal new media art
collective. Artists from Dans l'champ will join members of ID in presenting extended in-depth workshops and presentations aimed at increasing knowledge of production practices
for sensor-driven art.
This project is an opportunity for Halifax artists to gain a new understanding of relationships between thedigital, architectural, environmental and
representational properties of interactive art work in an experimental lab setting. |
|
Our aim isto bring interactivity out of the computer and in to the room engaging the visitor in a sensory experience.
Entering Interactive Environments consists of artist presentations, panel discussions and in-depth
training sessions for local digital media artists (video and audio & web) to expand their knowledge of making art that is triggered by
sensors or that works in an interactive context.
No experience necessary! |
